I Didn't Get...

...to see the prez's speech last night, but I taped it and watched it this morning at 5. He's never been the best speaker under a 'staged' setting, granted, but I thought it was fine. And he nailed the part about terrorism being the scourge of the 21 century. But, of course, the dems have to come out and say he politicized it. Holy Fuck, what was he supposed to say about Iraq? Nothing? It's a by-product of the war. Bin Laden is a pretty smart guy. He probably figured out that the course of action would be the one we took and if we pull out now, as the panty-wearing libs want us to do then Iran takes over Iraq and then you'll have a stituation that you'll wish you'd have never thought of. The best comment I heard in the aftermath of this whole thing was that Americans can't stay united for more than a millisecond. We can't do it as a nation, as husband and wife nor as families. We want the new IPod's, the TiVo's, the comfort beds to watch and listen to our toys, and yet we forget the very basic things in life on an everyday basis. We're good at coming to the rescue of natural disasters and the like because all we have to do is open our wallets. Doesn't take much sacrifice or commitment to unity to do that. Just Fuck...
